1. Why this policy matters here

A matrimonial profile is unusually sensitive. It carries your photograph, date of birth, community, income, family details and horoscope. This policy explains exactly what we do with that information, and what we will never do with it.

2. What we collect

• Profile information — name, gender, date and place of birth, height, marital status, religion, caste, gothra, mother tongue, star and rashi, education, occupation, income, city, and family details.
• Contact details — phone numbers and email address.
• Documents — a government photo ID, education certificates, and where relevant a divorce decree or death certificate, collected for verification.
• Photographs and horoscopes that you give us.
• Website usage — pages visited and basic analytics, where you have not blocked it.

3. How we use it

To verify your profile, to search for and shortlist matches, to make introductions you have agreed to, to prepare horoscope matching where you request it, to administer your membership, and to contact you about your search.

4. What we show other members

Your profile is visible to other members in the form your privacy settings allow. By default we shorten the surname on public listings and withhold phone numbers and email addresses entirely.

Contact details are released only when you have agreed to a specific introduction and the other family has agreed too. Photographs follow the setting you choose: visible to verified members, or released only for an introduction you approve.

Your verification documents are never shown to another member under any circumstances.

5. What we never do

• We do not sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to other bureaus, not to anyone.
• We do not share your profile with third-party matrimony sites or aggregators.
• We do not publish your photograph or your story publicly without your written agreement.
• We do not send your details to a member who has not been approved for an introduction with you.

6. Who else sees it

Our own staff, on a need-to-know basis; our astrologers, where you have requested horoscope matching; and service providers who host the site, store files and send our email, who are bound to process the data only on our instructions. We disclose information to authorities only where the law requires it.

7. How long we keep it

While your profile is on the register, and for a reasonable period afterwards to handle refunds and disputes. When you ask us to delete your profile, we remove it and the verification documents, keeping only what tax or legal obligations require.

8. Your rights

You may ask us at any time to show you what we hold, correct anything wrong, change your privacy settings, put your profile on hold, or delete it entirely. We do not ask for a reason, and there is no charge. Write to info@anubhandhamatrimony.com or call your matchmaker.

9. Security

Access to profiles and documents is restricted to staff who need it. The site is served over HTTPS and files are stored on access-controlled storage. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you promptly if a breach affects your information.

10. Cookies and analytics

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, and analytics to understand which pages are used. Analytics is only loaded when it has been configured; blocking it does not affect the service.

11. Children

This service is for adults of legal marriageable age. We do not knowingly hold information about anyone below that age, and will delete any such profile immediately.

12. Changes

We will post any update on this page. A change that materially affects how we share your profile will be notified to you directly before it takes effect.
